What you need to know

EV charging with us is simple and effortless: just identify yourself at a charging station, plug in and you are ready to charge.

As a registered customer, you can start charging and pay simply by identifying to the charging station with your RFID tag or mobile application.

Registered customers pay for charging based on the usage. The service works prepaid – your customer account is being charged after each charging event based on the station prices. Prices and other charging station information can be viewed from the mobile application. Public charging stations can also be used with one-time payment – however, for registered customers charging is cheaper and the experience more effortless.

Charging your electric vehicle (EV) anywhere you go is easy and convenient with ChargePoint. Just create a free ChargePoint account to access hundreds of thousands of charging spots on the ChargePoint network and many partner networks, then use the app to find a charging spot. Once you’re at a charging spot, here’s how to start charging.

You have three ways to start a charge:

1. Tap your phone (signed in to the ChargePoint app) on the station
2. Tap your ChargePoint card on the station
3. Tap the orange “Start Charge” button in the station details page in the mobile app

Tip : Use your card or push the “Start Charge” button in the app to use your account with non-ChargePoint stations.

Then .. Push the button on the connector and lift it out of the holster on the station.

Finally .. Plug the connector into your EV to start charging. Check to make sure that your EV is charging.

Tip : Many EVs have an indicator light on the dashboard that shows if the vehicle is charging.

When charging is finished, just unplug and return the connector to the station (hit the stop charging button on the station if you’re fast charging). We’ll send you a receipt by email, and you can view your charging history in Charging Activity in the app.
